Country Cooked & Standard Meat Co. Top RASV Awards

The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) has announced its winners of the 2018 Australian Food Awards. The Standard Meat Co.’s Smokey BBQ Boneless Pork Ribs was awarded bronze in the Convenient Main Meal category, the highest medal awarded in the category!

RASV is a not-for-profit member based organisation that’s purpose is to promote the development of excellence in Victorian agricultural produce through world-class programs and events. The 2018 Australian Food Awards presented Country Cooked with the opportunity to benchmark products and establish credentials in the Australian premium food industry.

Judges for the Australian Food Awards are selected from across Australia and are engaged based on their exceptional industry knowledge and expertise.

Receiving a score of 80/100, the Smokey BBQ Ribs performed best in the Flavour and Aroma categories. 32/40 was decided for flavour and 15.5/20 for aroma, the highest scores given in the category!

Other Standard Meat Co. products entered for judging were the Char Sui Pork and the Asian BBQ Pork Belly. Both products also scored highly and received positive reviews.
